July 2008
Sierra Club Delta Chapter Excom and interested persons:
This is to remind all that the quarterly meeting of the Delta Chapter Excom is scheduled for July 19-20 in Lafayette. We will have our working session on Saturday July 19 at the north regional public library in Carencro just north of Lafayette, and the Sunday, July 20 business meeting will be at my house in Lafayette.
Please save these dates on your calendar. Please feel free to submit suggestions for agenda items for either day's meeting.
We will do something social on saturday evening. Let me know if you would like for us to find accomodations at someone's house for you to stay over on saturday nite. Also, the Acadian Group plans an outing to the Louisiana State Arboretum at Chico State Park on the afternoon of Sunday July 20.

FOR OUR FAMILIES, FOR OUR FUTURE!
The Delta Chapter is 3,000 of your neighbors supporting the work of the Sierra Club in Louisiana. We advance the cause of protecting Louisiana's environment in a variety of ways, including lobbying the state legislature in Baton Rouge, sponsoring a Mercury Public Education Campaign, raising public awareness about climate change, and working to keep the Atchafalaya Basin, America's greatest river swamp, wet and wild. In addition, we encourage our members to get outside and enjoy our beautiful planet.
The Sierra Club's members and supporters are more than 1.3 million of your friends and neighbors. Inspired by nature, we work together to protect our communities and the planet. The Club is America's oldest, largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization.
